Product Description

Gottleak Premier Rubberised Pond Paint is a full-bodied rubberised paint. When dry, the product forms an odourless and taint free black waterproof film suitable for application to stonework and metal as well as overcoating wood and felt.


Uses

Gottleak Premier Rubberised Pond Paint provides an effective waterproof, weatherproof, corrosion-resistant protective coating. It is resistant to low concentrations of alkalis and acids and can withstand prolonged oxidation. It is suitable for application to a wide variety of materials including cement, concrete, stone, brick and most metals.

Film Thickness Per Coat @ 11m2 / Ltr:  Wet – 0.1mm Dry – 0.05mm

Chemical and Water Resistance

Resistant to: most salt solutions, dilute acids and alkalis, water and alcohol.

Not resistant to: oils, solvents and some detergent solutions

Service Temps: -10°C to +35°C

Shelf Life: 36 months from date of manufacture in tightly sealed, undamaged containers.

Storage Conditions: Gottleak Premier Rubberised Pond Paint is flammable, and all normal precautions against fire must be taken during both storage and use. Store in original container in cool (5°C - 25°C) dry conditions. Keep away from sources of ignition.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

Consumption / Yield / Dosage: Porous surfaces: 4-6m2 Non-porous surfaces: 11m2

Ambient Air Temperature: 5°C - 40°C. Surfaces must be free from ice and water.

Drying time: 24 hours depending on drying conditions.

 

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Substrate Preparation

As with all surface coatings, preparation of the surface is of great importance and will influence the degree of adhesion obtained and the life of the coating. All surfaces must be sound, stable and thoroughly clean and dry. Metal surfaces should be wire-brushed to remove rust. Loose or blistered paint should be removed.

Gottleak Premier Rubberised Pond Paint is ready to use. Apply by brush.  A minimum of three coats of Gottleak Premier Rubberised Pond Paint should be applied. Coats should be allowed to dry (normally 24 hours depending on weather conditions) before additional coats are applied.


Cleaning of Tools

Tools may be cleaned by using white spirit. Any spillage should be wiped off before the paint has set.


LIMITATIONS

Do not use in areas where subsequent solvent contact is likely.

Avoid inhalation of vapours in confined spaces.

Allow sufficient drying time between coats.
